Ghost was written after a devastatingly heartbreaking ghosting experience—simultaneously in friendships and loverships. Lingering on the idea of holding onto things you shouldn’t, it’s also a wake-up call to do things differently. If they wanted to be in your life, they would be. If they want to walk out the door, let them. Clear your head & space then move forward knowing that everything happens for a reason. And most of all—never ever ghost yourself again.
The essence of Ghost stems from the beginning stages of a depressive episode. The feeling of wanting to move on but seemingly being surrounded by the presence of the past. In many ways, you have to mourn a part of yourself that died along with that relationship because at the end of the day, it’ll never be as you remembered it. Ghost is a subtle reminder to ground yourself in the present, protect your energy while you heal the wounds, and propel yourself forward toward hope.
