Faith

“Faith” is a reflection of life. When we started to write, the first line that kept popping into my head was, “My daddy he’s a self-made man, he teaches me all that he can”, and from there it really wrote itself. I’ve always been overwhelmingly grateful for my upbringing, my dad particularly for instilling work-ethic & drive and my mom for grace & humbleness. So to be able to honor them in this way was really special to me.

One of my favorite lines is, “I’ve hit my lows while soaring high, failed so many times didn’t wanna try” and I think it really is a topic something that should be talked about more openly. So often we only see people at face value and don’t always acknowledge the battles happening internally. It’s easy to portray the image that everything’s going great but at the end of the day, you’re the only one who knows what you’re facing.

I believe that no matter what you believe in, as long as you have faith in what you’re doing, you have nothing to lose. My hope is that this song will inspire and provide comfort in times of not knowing which direction you may be going.
